Gear up for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with Wiser’s New Infographic

It’s definitely an exciting time of the year for retailers. With Thanksgiving just a few days away, the WiseGuys wanted to find a way to celebrate the weekend that follows, which is usually full of family, relaxation, and shopping. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two of the biggest shopping days of the year, and to make sure you’re all set in your preparations we’ve put together the best tips in our new infographic.

Black Friday 2014 was the most popular Black Friday on record with $2.4 billion in sales. It starts the holiday shopping season for many, as there was a 4.1% increase in December/November sales from 2013 as well. For 44% of shoppers, Black Friday is the most profitable day of the year, pushing many from the “red” to the famed “black.”

But wait, there’s more good news. Sales in 2015 are expected to climb 3.7% to $630.5 billion. That’s a lot of cash right there, so you have to make sure you’re going to make the most out of the huge opportunity presented to you. One of the most important things to remember is that online traffic is going to increase drastically, so bolster up your site to handle the demand surge like a champion.

Did you know that 34% of retailers said that fulfilling orders on time was their biggest challenge during the 2014 holiday season? Implement firm cut off dates for your orders to prevent angry customers who didn’t get their packages on time.
