Good news for eBay Inc. Many were nervous to see their third quarter earnings, as they were their first quarter earnings since separating from the popular PayPal service. Luckily, the company reported earnings of $539 million. These results beat estimates, and shares actually jumped 7 percent in aftermarket trading. Their $2.1 billion revenue for the period met Wall Street forecasts as well.

Amazon wants to put an end to fake reviews. The retail giant filed a lawsuit in Washington state court against more than 1,000 people who allegedly offered to hire themselves as fake reviewers as $5/review. Fake review businesses are growing in popularity, and Amazon has high hopes to nip the industry in the bud Fake reviews offer improper evaluations of certain products, and damage the overall shopping experience on Amazon.
